BlueTomorrow reviews the the Plantronics Pulsar 260 Bluetooth stereo headset.

As it stands, the device is difficult to promote as an ideal solution for listening to music and talking on the phone. We give it credit for its slightly better than average sound quality, and cannot discount these headphones as a possibility because they may work for some users in a quiet setting. However, we would think there are better multifunction products out there.

If you are the type that really likes small Bluetooth headsets you will want to take a look at this LG HBM-730 review. The reviewer has gone through quite a few headsets so he knows what to look for. The LG HBM-730 is amazingly small but apparently packs in the call quality enough to where the reviewer actually had to turn the volume down. (more…)

I4U checks out the one of the newer headsets from Plantronics in the Voyager 520 review. The headset garners a very good 8 out of 10 rating for a number of reasons including easy pairing, great audio quality, and noise canceling. The Plantronics Voyager 520 is slightly larger than other Bluetooth headsets, but seems to more than make up for it in quality, ease-of-use, and battery life.

Gizmodo writes a “Lightning Round Review” of the Sound ID SM100. Their verdict? The SM100 faired better than the Aliph Jawbone for incoming sound quality, but outgoing (where others hear you) quality was not as good. If you value what you hear more than what others hear the SM100 is great.

The Daily Gadget reviews the Samsung WEP200 Bluetooth headset, which is a very popular headset that you will probably see many people wearing. The reviewer had no problems pairing it up with his Samsung Sync cell phone. He also had no problems with range, finding himself up to 20 feet away from his phone before he noticed it was far away.

The Gadgeteer has posted a very thorough Plantronics 665 Bluetooth headset review. The reviewer includes samples of the Plantronics 665’s voice quality and lots of closeup pictures for those of you who like to visualize things before you buy them.

Although the noise filtering features were not quite as good as the Aliph Jawbone, the much smaller size of the Plantronics 665 Bluetooth headset made up for that fact. At the same time, battery life is also decreased with size, allowing for only 3.5 hours of talk.

Much like another such review, DigitalTrend’s Plantronics Pulsar 260 review gives the inexpensive stereo Bluetooth headset an 8 out of 10 rating. The reviewer was impressed with the sound quality of the headset, and found that the earbuds isolated sound very well. Battery life was also very good, giving 7 hours of listening time and 9 hours of talk time. The only real negative the reviewer found was that the Pulsar 260 was problematic when working with Skype, although Plantronics does not specify that the headset is compatible. This definitely seems like a good stereo Bluetooth headset for the money.

As Bluetooth stereo headsets get smaller and smaller, Philips keeps it on the larger side with their over the ear headset. TechDigest has their Philips SHB6102 review posted and comes to the conclusion that these particular headphones might sound great, but will also tire out your ears after an extended period of time. Apparently the volume level also suffers a bit, so if you like your music to bump you may want to look elsewhere.

The Blueant V12 is packed with features including vibrating call alert and a status LCD display. MobileBurn has posted their Blueant V12 review and gives it their recommendation, although with a few caveats as you will see.

The reviewer found that the LCD screen came in quite handy, but that the overall design of the Blueant V12 was quite boring. In terms of comfort, the V12 was fine for casual use, but over long periods of time became less enjoyable to wear.

Audio quality was so-so, not bad or good, but definitely usable. However, battery talk time stood out at an impressive 11 hours.

For the price, this doesn’t look like such a bad headset. Take a look at the full review for more info.

Sailing World takes a look at the Globalsat BT-338 Bluetooth GPS receiver. The review doesn’t focus so much on the unit as it does on the subjective reasons for actually having the unit. The reviewer tells about his history with GPS receivers and how much the BT-338 will help him. If you are into sailing or extreme sports that take you out and away from civilization I would definitely suggest giving this a read.
